Our Keynote Speaker for Polaris 2023 is Alex Jaffe!
Alex is the Lead Champion Designer on Riot’s Project L.
He will share some thoughts on the first night, to inspire us and get us in the mood to discuss game design!
His talk draws upon his six years immersed in the culture of fighting games, learning them from the top down – as a designer. He’ll show the deep and subtle ways that the genre distorts humans’ relationship with time, and hopefully inspire you to rethink what players are capable of.
